Rum makes a great cocktail. There are so many but my top ones are:
Daiquiri
60ml Rum
30ml Fresh Lime Juice
15ml Sugar Syrup
Shake ingredients with ice. Fine strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with lime.

100ml Quality Rum
50ml Fresh Lime Juice
20ml Sugar Syrup
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Shake ingredients with ice. Fine strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with lime.
Corn n’ Oil
60ml Rum
15ml JD Taylors Velvet Falernum
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Stir all ingredients with ice. Garnish with lime slice.
Old Fashioned
75ml Rum
10ml Sugar Syrup
3 dashes Orange Bitters
Stir Rum with two ice cubes until melted. Add sugar syrup, orange bitters and two more ice cubes. Stir until melted then pour into Old Fashioned glass with one large ice sphere. Twist orange peel to express citrus oil over the drink. Add peel to garnish.
Mai Tai
30ml Jamaican Rum
30ml Rhum Agricole Vieux
15ml Orange Curacao
15ml Orgeat Syrup
7.5ml Sugar Syrup
30ml Fresh Lime Juice
Shake well with plenty of crushed ice. Pour unstrained into a double Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with half lime shell and mint sprig.
Jet Pilot
15ml fresh lime juice
15ml grapefruit juice
15ml cinnamon syrup
15ml falernum
30ml dark Jamaican Rum
22.5ml Gold Puerto Rican Rum
22.5ml Overproof Demerara Rum
1 dash Angostura bitters
6 drops Pernod
crushed ice
Put everything in a blender (ice last). Blend at high speed for 5 seconds. Pour unstrained into a glass, adding more crushed ice to fill. Garnish with a cocktail cherry
